 Stereo seperation on 10 string stick

Post Stereo seperation on 10 string stick
Help!!
Just got my stick today. Incredible. It is like an instrument from another world. I have one question.
I cant seem to get any real stereo seperation. I thought I could get the melody out of one amp and the bass out of another amp. No matter how I set it , it just seems to bleed across and all come out of both amps. I have the Villex PASV4 pickup. Also have a midi control on the treble side. I haven't even touched that yet. Any clues as to what I am doing wrong???

Are you sure the mono switch is not on? :) Also, I assume you're using the proper cord - 1/4" TRS stereo plug into the pickup, breaking out to two 1/4" mono jacks?

Also, perhaps you'll also get bleed if you have a ton of gain or compression happening on the amps.

Everything is fine now. I do have the right cord. I tried both switch positions. Next time I plugged it in all was fine. I think I was just so excited when I first set it up that I was all wacked!! Now that I let it sit a bit and went at it everything makes more sense now. Thanks for your speedy replies.
Now all I have to do is learn how to play it. LOL!!!
