don't get me wrong....I liked the original Rods...very smooth and sweet---but the rails become smooth after some playing and definitely have more tapping attack when you want it...
A very nice advance in Emmett's Technology....
They add a nice crisp sound to the Bass side-with the Block active system it's nice to have the Tone control...had to back the Top end off the EQ compared to the Stickup..

I noticed that the Rails on my new SG12 have a slightly different profile than those on past Sticks I've owned. Instead of coming to such a sharp point, they're ever so slightly flattened on the top. This results in the best playing Stick I've had the pleasure of owning. You get the same crisp and fast attack, but slides are easier on the fingertips. Cool 8-)
