Post Re: SB8 on eBay
when i got the SB8,
i though it will be a Bass/tenor bass instrument.
not a Guitar with 2 light guage bass string.

so i try put heavy Bass strings"E=110" and ect...
and tenor bass strings on it.. so the string guages wouldn't be close or cross other strings..
....it did work well.
therefor, order more strings from SE, and put them on the SB8,
play with it..., still not my sound. i wasn't looking for a guitar sound...
therfor sale it, and get something i will Use more...

on the otherhand,
the WD40,
...grease help "medal" not to rust.
then again,... is medal, really medal these day's ...?

if someone know how to make a SB8 more of a "Bass" please tell me.
i will keep the instrument ..thanks

Post Re: SB8 on eBay
back to what i try...
use the low B, and heavy bass guitar strings "E,A,D," then tenor bass strings" E,A,D,G, then tune to A,D,G,C,F,Bflat, Eflat,Aflat.
everything line up, but the string tension didn't....
therfor, the sound didn't carry...on the tenor bass strings
so...order strings from SE, and set it back up to "normal" guitar/bass SB8.

This is just to clear up the questions on the rusty bridge screws. My Alto was suffering badly from this (thanks to the Texas humidity). I took a little WD40 and wiped it in with a q-tip. The rust was gone with almost no effort!

So don't let rusty bridge screws be a determining factor when it comes to buying this or any other Stick.
