So i am hoping to soon get a stepabout which will probably help this issue.. but until then i would like to figure out what is going on..

So anyways here is what i am doing.

My bass side is being pluged directly into the d.i to the system.. (not great just until i get a pre)

and my melody side is going through my elec guitar head and cab.

THere is a really bad buzz and wierd stuttering sound that happens. When i unplug one of the chords either melody or bass the buzz totally stops.. when i plug it back in it starts..

If i turn my preamp to mono and just go through my amp it is crystal clear..

any thoughts?

well it's hard to say... but it can be a huge ground loop. D.I. box with ground lift switch on bass side should help and cut it.

I think Wojtek is probably right. If it goes away when you unplug one of the leads, it's probably a ground loop.

ok cool.. i will try that. THanks.. i will play again thursday or friday at same place with same set up so i will let you know if that helps..
