Funny story on that Patch of Shades pedal...

I had always heard of these, but I never knew exactly what it was or did. I photoed it, then went to class. After class I decided I'd go see it again and maybe plug it into something.

I passed one of the other seminar attendees in the hallway who had it clutched under his arms. I think he was trying to hide it. I tried asking him questions about it, but he ran off kinda growly at me.

I think that pedal is from Mordor. And it turns people into Gollum.

Wow, I have read about "The Grid" but never seen one, or even a picture of one so thanks for these. The even strings remind me of the Synthaxe but The Grid must be a very strange instrument to play. I wonder how many were made?

I believe there's only half dozen or so fretless Sticks (not NS).
Mention of white polycarbonate, I had one, 25 years ago. Sold because I graduated to 12 stringers.

My Ironwood #1212 made fretless (those are celluloid lines) never posted for fear of Emmett.

I just 'met' Cory. He does have an Ash. He's out of town just now but will try to see about some pictures when he's back home

He also mentioned that he used to have a Macassar Ebony, of which only 4 were made, and that Tim Longfellow has a 'Satine' (sp?).
