BassLab Models?
What ever happened to those Bass Lab semi-hollow models that were supposed to come out? Other than the two prototypes, were any others produced? I've seen the silver one here on this forum a couple of times, and I know that Emmett has the red one. It looks like all mention of them was removed from SE's website.

I don't think they're will be produced one day, unfortunately... but perhaps Greg have some info to share I'd got the opportuny to put my hands upon one of the prototype when Emmett came in Allaire... Waouh, what an experience, my fingers still vibrate 3 years later

I love the feel of a chambered guitar, how it resonates in your hands, and I thought the idea in a Stick was very cool. It must have been quite light too.

Kris Hi Kris, As far as I know this is still in the works. Whenever you try to get two builders of very different products together, it takes a long time to work things out from a process standpoint. Emmett and Heiko are both artists and designers, who come at making instruments from different angles. The instruments feel and sound great, so I certainly hope it will happen.

Re: BassLab Models?
Actually the blue one is out in public ... owned by someone who bought it from Emmett. I actually almost bought it from them before finding my current Stick for a lower price. It would have been nice to have such a unique Stick but money talks. I had an opprotunity to save some cash and get the GK-2 pickup that isn't installed on the blue one. Sooooo the Blue one and I believe the Silver one are both out there owned by two lucky Stick players.

Re: BassLab Models?
Oh, how I would love to dig my dirty claws into one of those instruments! Please Greg or Emmet, any further detail is greatly appreciated I wonder what's the feel of the instrument? I've read that the hollow chambers take some getting used to. Also, is this model significantly lighter than the other ones? Happy Tappy, locks

Re: BassLab Models?
They are indeed cool. The first two were "twins"; the silver and red Basslabs Sticks were molded by Heiko and sent back to Emmett for setup. The first one to be set up and played was the silver one. I was fortunate enough to own this instrument for about a year. There is a "lively" sensation when you tap these models; the notes seem to bloom and the upper harmonics are greatly enhanced. And, yes, your thumbs feel the vibration from the resonating hollow beam. I ended up selling mine only because I needed a 12-string, and I still miss it. Once these babies go into full production, I'm sure I'll waste no time in landing another one. Right now, I've got my zebrawood Grand to keep me busy while I wait for my Alto. Is this a sickness or what?! - Matt
