I agree. I haven't seen a padauk Stick, but I've made several wood planes made with padauk. Looks a dead ringer to me.

Thanks. I've worked Padauk and have some but I don't see as open a grain in my stockpile.
Think Stick Ink will know?

Oh yeah. That's laminated Padauk alright. I have one as well...#6079, made in 2012.

I believe the #4800s would have been from the early-mid 2000s. I think David here has already mentioned that.
