BTW, for those wondering I ordered this in January of '21 - about 18 months ago.

Thanks for that info. Great to know, as I ordered in February 2021. So, maybe I'll have my own unboxing in the near future.

Big congrats and may you enjoy these upcoming days of your journey with a new railboard.

And here it is, in all it's glory.

My that's a beauty. Welcome #7228. :)

Sounds beautiful, and the action is amazingly low. I think I can get the action a little lower on my rosewood now that I have one that has been setup by a master!

I strongly suspect that my 1985 Ironwood would need a visit home for a refurbish & adjustable truss rod to get a super low action. I imagine it will be a while before there's the prospect of a reasonable turnaround time on such a job? And the two way transatlantic carriage would probably be eye watering!

Congrats! Looks beautiful!

I'm still going through my StickWait period (ordered a rosewood Stick in March 2021) but it's all good. However long it takes. :)

I was concerned that the glitter inlay would look “cheesy” but thought the color would look so good with the blue anodizing and the gold tuners

TBH it does look a little cheesy when you look very closely, but otherwise the inlays really pop both aesthetically and functionally for the player. I couldn’t be happier with that decision!

I'm not sure what if anything it tells us about Stick numbers, other than that serial numbers are assigned when the beam is formed, which I already knew, but interesting (to a nerd like me!) to note that Steve's blue 10 string Railboard (linear inlays), #7228, is numerically earlier than @RandomCrap's black 10 string Railboard (linear inlays), #7289, which was delivered last October, and way lower than the blue 10 string Railboard (dot inlays), #7391, that appeared on Reverb recently and was mentioned here in Classifieds.

Just an observation...

Edited to add the Reverb example & the inlay type.

They look great in the pictures. :D

I've opted for 'Glow (aqua)' on a plum Railboard, and am also wondering what it will actually look like when I get to see it in real life. All part of the fun of buying a thing you've never been able to examine or hold. :)
