For emulating a blues/rock guitar sound on the melody side of a Stick, why not go with a small cranked up tube amp like a Fender Blues Junior. Also I've tried all the Stick pickups at length and the two it comes down to for me are the Stickup and the PASV4. They have the most bold character.

Thumbs up!

I agree with the Stickup being a great pickup with a tube amp. I used to hate the tone of my Railboard pickup, until I started messing around with Impulse Responses on the Helix Floor. Now, both instruments get equal usage. They each have their own unique tone and I like them both very much.

Hey Capt. Thanks for the insight. I'm still in DBR-Land and the "unified string theory" and have not the necessity for outboard amplification - due to no one to play with. If that would so arise I would be trying out one (or two) bass combo amps. When I first got a Stick - '84 - I had a Randall guitar amp, to add to my existing bass rig. And boy was that thing LOUD.

So instead of starting a new thread,
I put the PASV4 on my DBR 12-string see what happens.
Haven't had it on for a long time.
Running thru the PODX3 Live.
I think my presets are going to have a heart attack.
