Keeping busy on project work. 101 days till launch:
https://mars.nasa.gov/mars2020/

Kids are working from home, my GF Annie is phlebotomist at our local hospital here in Pasadena and was recently sent home for pneumonia. She was tested and tested again, so far negative but we're taking it day by day.

Having loved ones in the medical business changes your whole perspective. If you know someone that is, be sure to thank them every day. They are the real warriors here, fighting an unseen enemy with whatever resources they have.

We'll be right back at this after summer ends and things cool down again. Life as we know it has forever changed.

I am a minister of my Faith.Under my observation it is the sign of the times. As King David said "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord.Forever."Blessings to all.

Tomorrow will mark the peak of isolation restriction here. From. Tomorrow noon -no one allowed to,leave home for more than 100 meters. No leaving your town. No shopping even for food (holiday so most stores are closed anyway)
No family meetings for Passover.

If things looks better in about 10-12 days there could be some isolation relief.

Things are going ok with me in this neck of the woods. I'm retired , so i have less of a disruption to my daily life than most. I do miss my local brewpub though :) I'm trying to learn a couple of baroque songs and an astor piazolla song ( gonna shelf that one for a little bit though, too much at once :) .

but to break it up , I'd thought i'd do another 'learn it in an afternoon' sketches over on the showcase thread, since i have not done that in a while , that would be timely selection.

Great to be catching up with everyone here. GP, I'm relieved that your GF is ok, medics are the living legends. Please pass on my love and thanks.

Salve, salve to everyone! Here in Stockholm I'm hoping for a musically productive period, having changed strings on Sticks and guitars, set up a new and better virtual symphonic orchestra in-the-box and finally starting to catch up on the mountain of recording projects I have been shuffling before me during the last years.

Around 90 percent of the people here in Sweden seem to follow the governments' recommendation to "not travel, not visit vulnerable elderly, keep a distance when in public and stay home if feeling sick". In the Stockholm area, the daily number of newly contaminated have reached a peak now, while still increasing in other areas of the country.

I sleep eat, compose and record here in my small studio apartment while keeping social contacts virtual. Calling my sons on the phone, and also my old-old parents. My side job, teaching Swedish to foreign corporate professionals, was just to make the switch into "the online virtual classroom" when the big company who's employers I teach, Volvo, announced they are going into lock-down due to the international Corona situation. And since I'm an external contractor with an educational consult company I suddenly lost that income over the weekend. Luckily there has been a handful of well paid months, so I can get going at least over the summer on that buffer if cooking at home on a shoe-string :-) No excesses at the ice cream factory on the corner this summer... ouch.

Anyway, the vibe is tolerable and I'm staying well in the zone, creatively. I'm living at a high floor in a house on a mounting, facing north (saves me from melting in the summer heat) and I can watch the clouds and sky color shifting over rooftops all day long while playing my fav instruments. So I'm trying to make the best out of these strange times, recording both for artistic pleasures and for media music agencies that (hopefully) sell licenses.
