I was just looking at stick options on stick.com and there is a plasma (dposition?) coating mentioned as an option, but it doesn't appear in the order form
Is this no longer available?

Yeah it's been discontinued. From what Cambria told me it's because they've had a lot of returns on the instruments with this option, as for why Idk

I was waiting for about a year for a gold plasma. I decided to change my order to the new Chechen wood

Vendor issues. The vendor applying the plasma has some unresolved glitches in the process

That is a shame. In this case I'm guessing "returns" would mean SE returned the product to the vendor for lack of QA.

I always thought my "dream stick" would be made of shiny gold. But such a thing could never happen right? Then I saw the plasma gold and thought it was the most beautiful instrument of all time. When I could justify the expense I knew that was the instrument I would have to buy.

Maybe on eBay. Maybe if SE finds a different way to apply the plasma. Oh well.

I know the feeling, I got all hyped up for months to get a gunmetal railboard but got the option shot down the day after I submitted the order Wanted to get it engraved and everything....

I received my nickel plasma finished Railboard 2 weeks ago ... I guess that means my instrument is now super rare? Hehe. No flaws as far as I can tell - I absolutely love it!

I fully chime in... as I have been saving up for a chrome plank. But now it seems I will have to resign with a black railboard. Not too bad either, actually.
