wondering around the stick site can't find much info regarding color/inlay color tuners for example: how can i see the front of all railboard colors? all linear inlays colors? how could i know if a stick color w/ inlays color will look right? tuners colors? what is hipshot closed gear/open gear? there are only lists of colors and options but not enough pics. to show what those lists mean any info will help tnx Boaz |

There are more photos in the Hot Shots area on Stick's website (including my own Blue Railboard w/Silver glitter linear inlays). Also some shots of the tuners (open & closed, gold & chrome). I was looking for this too before I ordered my Railboard. There weren't many good shots of the various colors. It would be nice to have a catalog of all wood/alum colors along with the inlay materials.. http://www.stick.com/instruments/hotshots/ |

Tnx but still not helpful enough. Still can’t tell the difference between closed and open tuners. Also when ordering I suppose you need to have all the options info.. |

I went with the closed tuners just to keep maint lower. The open tuners tend to collect dust & debris. |

Hi Boaz, With the pictures in this gallery page, all the tuners are "open back" style. http://www.stick.com/instruments/tuners/ This means the gear is exposed. However, in the below picture of the StickBass in Tarara wood, the tuners are "closed back" style. These tuners have a cover over the gear. http://www.stick.com/instruments/sb8/ta ... arhead.jpg My preference would be closed back. |
