Post Rosewood with black pearl linear inlays
Hello!

Soon I will buy a new Stick. It will be rosewood and I would like to bring Black Pearl Recon Stone linear inlays. My question is whether the colors be confounded or brands will be little with this wood . Anyone who has this combination? what you think?

Thank you!

Best regards

Hmmn, good question. lol I'm not sure; I have dots myself. White pearl on Wenge which makes for a nice contrast...

A great opportunity for people to post pictures of their Chapman Sticks! :D

I've got a Rosewood Stick, and I'd think that the black linear inlays wouldn't show up as well as the pearl or white ones. My Ns/Stick is ebony-stained already-dark wenge on already dark wenge, so the white pearl on wenge, like Jayesskerr said, is pretty awesome. I'd be afraid the black wouldn't show against the dark brown Rosewood. Anyone have or seen this combination?

In my opinion, this would be a bad choice for lack of contrast.

When you need to see the inlay, you really need to see the inlay. Turquoise looks nice, if you are looking for an inlay with some texture that isn't so bright... I think Eric has the turquoise in his SG12 if I'm not mistaken.

White pearl is super classy, and very easy to see when needed...

I think it's very reasonable what you say.

Hey bro...
What Greg said.....the black may not stand out so good. The rosewood blanks are richly dark these days me thinks.......something lighter would be better.
Heres a pic of my rosewood with the turquoise linears.......I really dig the look...

Post Re: Rosewood with black pearl linear inlays
Hello,

In my case, my first candidate combination was the Wenge body and the Green poly pearl linear inlay, I described these combination to order sheet, but Cambria responded that these combination looks no good due to less contrast. And then I want something different and unique combination of body and inlay, I asked Wenge and Red poly pearl, she also said, these are much worse than former combination. If I choose solid color green inlay, this will be better than poly pearl one.
As result, I made decision another candidate, Wenge body and Gold pory pearl inlay. This was nice.
This process of thinking combination is really fun until order your Stick.

Best,
Take.
