Wait time?
I am considering a new Railboard as my first-ever Stick purchase. I sent an email to stick.com a couple of days ago but have not heard back.
Can anyone tell me what the approximate wait time is between placing an order and taking delivery? I watched a YouTube video of a guy unboxing one and he said his took over 180 days. Is that typical? If so, that seems like an awfully long time.

Re: Wait time?
It does take a bit of time to complete! Give 'em a call.

Re: Wait time?
Steve! Greetings!
It took about only 124 days or so for my Railboard to come, from order to arrival (2 days before last Christmas). But lately, I hear they've been taking much less time than that--1 to 3-4 months from what I've heard recently, with several just 4-6 weeks (depending on what you want and what they got on hand for Railboards & colors and linears versus dots).
Stick Enterprises (and Cambria specifically) always did get back to my email messages (eventually) but I usually had to send a followup email about 2 to 3 business days later to get a reply. But calling seems to be the better way to get immediate contact. Some people like me would rather take a week between emails than actually talk to a real human on the phone but Cambria is extremely nice and helpful (but don't expect immediate email replies.)
I was told 3-4 months when I ordered, and I couldn't possibly wait that long to start this wondrous device once I discovered it, so I also ordered a wooden 10-string off Ebay for $1800 plus shipping from Japan and I had one in my hands within a week and a half.
Now I have 2 and would love to get a 12-string (or a NS/Stick or a SG12, or a gold-vapor deposited Railboard...)
Best of luck! The journey of a 1000 miles begins with the first step! (Getting a Stick!)
(By the way, there's about 10-12 of us Stickist Steves running around and it's my little running joke about it, welcome fellow Steve!)

Re: Wait time?
Where in the world do you get an instrument that is crafted and set up by the man / family / company that invented the instrument? It is worth the wait when you consider the lifetime of musical learning it will afford you.
I've seen it range from 1 - 3 months with Railboards, a little longer with wood. All worth the wait for sure.
