It's a really fun experience, Ben. I've had the pleasure twice before. One Stick player, with a good effects pallet can provide a lot of orchestration.

Just had a Skype lesson with Greg.
Great stuff. I particularly like Greg's 'strategic' methods.
Lots to work on....

I mocked up a Baritone melody tuning with an extra string I had.
Played for about 15 minutes and ordered a new set of Bari Melody strings :)
I love what that does to the instrument.

With the kids heading back to school, a more regular schedule resumes the week of August 28th. Several new students recently, some who don't even have Sticks yet, learning about reading and how music works in general.

This summer I've been helping students figure out how to play everything from Scarlotti to jazz standards, from ragtime guitar to Beck,.
