Post Short, Easy and Beautiful:Central Park West, StickNotation
This tune is just a series of ii V I progressions in only a few different keys making it a perfect introduction to people who like jazz but might be put off by all the technicalities.

I've included the analysis of the chord progressions so you can see what you're dealing with if you care.

It contains what I know to do with something like this as an arranger. Don't let the right hand go below middle C. Put three notes in the right hand and two in the left. Make the ii and the V chords be quartal. Allow the I chord to be a tertian seventh chord (aka built in thirds not in fourths) which gives the resolution to the I chord more stability.

Maybe Kataway or someone could give their input on this one. I tried real hard to make sure there were no errors as someone currently without a stick. The chart shows how you have the option of playing the notes below middle C with the right hand or the left.

I was only thinking in terms of playing the chords not the bass but I've included the nearest bass note for reference surrounded by a diamond shape. Not sure if the tune is playable if you try to include the bass with these particular chord voicings. Give it a try and let me know.

btw I'm now working on Crystal Silence by Chick Corea with this same kind of graphic stick notation.

Your pics are a bit small and I can hardly see some details...sorry.

Do you have a recommendation on how to improve the user experience? This forum doesn't allow me to upload larger ones. I've tried to use Photobucket before but it also shows them as small. If people want to see them big, they have to download them which kind of defeats the purpose of letting people see what they're getting before they go to the trouble of downloading. Is there another better way to let people see big, clear pics before they download? I also hate to waste my time editing photos to be smaller just so I can post them here.
