Arrangements for Stick?
Hi from London!
I got my Stick in May and I have been progressing slowly since then using Bob Culbertson's DVDs. Very good stuff!
However, here is the purpose of my post: I think I could progress even faster if I would spend time learning arrangements of songs I like or popular songs (e.g. Led Zep, classical music, etc). Bob is teaching some cool songs in his youtube videos but I think I would really need the tablatures to progress. So let me ask you: does any of you knows where I could find arrangement of popular songs? Ideally with both recording and tabs. And I don't mind paying for this stuff either.
Thanks if you can help!!!!!!!!

Re: Arrangements for Stick?
At the Interlocken Seminar ( Try to attend a seminar if you can ) Bob had some great advise on this subject He said first just practice the chord progressions Which is easy to do if you just google a guitar tab etc... Coming from a guitar background this to me is the big jump the fact that there isn't a lot of "Stick Tab" out there I'm slowly taking Bob's approach to learning songs First the chords Then adding melody and extra's
I'm still not very good at Independent parts but have been doing Bobs 3 over 4 pattern stuff and I can see that really helps build those skills
Don't get too frustrated ( I'm guilty of that ) I still simply love the tone and feel of the stick and to me that is the magic

Re: Arrangements for Stick?
Hey, I gotta plug my homie Japhlet on this one. Seriously amazing arranging skills on the stick. He has been able to play/translate literally everything he wants as far as I know. From classical to hyper jazz fusion, all while sounding dope on the 10 string in solo format. I'm sure he has some insight, but all I know is his ear is unreal and maybe he has a natural talent. Then again it could be a skill he developed as well.
