Post Yes tunes?
I was giving Bob C's Mood For a Day a spin, wondering if anyone else has transcribed any Yes tunes?

I grew up with these tunes and think Heart of the Sunrise would be interesting (and difficult) on the Stick.

I always wanted to learn something on the Mando like this adaptation: Mood for a Day on Mandolin by J McGann.

Perhaps I will (someday) on the Stick with the right material.

Hi, I think my good friend Japhlet has done some yes tunes. He could figure it all out by ear too which totally blows me away. I might be confusing it with some epic ELP tho?I think he is still in Hungary busking and playing the art scene? Maybe if he reads this he will say something about transcribing prog for Stick. He was great at arranging the parts for Stick! You there buddy???

The song that Japhelet transcribed from Yes was "South Side Of The Sky" and

That video is great. I have watched it several times the past few months. learned by ear...wow. His playing has come so far! I wish I could break from using notation software. I would love to hear South Side of the Sky!

OFF TOPIC: Hungary huh? I have some friends from Budapest. I am off to a fundraiser for the spring floods and dam failure in Hungary a couple weeks from now. Should be some good folk rock.

Why not?!? I might never be able to play it, but it will be an excellent challenge that should keep my interest for a LONG time. I figure that I can take it on a few measures at a time. Between the Fragile Guitar sheet music and a good MIDI file, I have transcribed the first 12 measures with tab to start sorting out fingering of the melody side. We'll see how far I get.

Trilogy is a beast to play on piano, much less on a stick. Wow!

That's the spirit Rob, midi files are a great resource for learning tunes. I've used dozens of them to learn stuff, and modified (improved) them for backing tracks.

...Doing other musical stuff until I can obtain a 10-string. I need patience right now.

Hey guys, I just saw this... Haha.
Thanks for the comments guys. I didn't transcribe Trilogy by ear, I have the score for Piano, and South Side of the Sky is much more simple, and I knew the middle section on the piano already, so that was simpler...
The mp3 for South Side should be on my site... If not I'll put it up soon.
Thanks guys!!!!
