Your wife will love the video. The little rubber head will delight her to no end. And I guarantee you will learn something. And it's way cheaper than a lesson.

Re: Stickology Book/DVD
All this fuss about Stickology and the DVD. My last point: why spend $2000-3000 on a Stick and not have some guidance about your new treasure. You should buy every DVD, CD, book, download, rubber head, anything that will motivate you to the rewards that are found in this special instrument. Or you can think about it. To me it's a no-brainer.

Re: Stickology Book/DVD
Whilst I agree pretty much with what you are saying Steve, learning aids have never helped me with learning any instrument. I literally have a great BIG pile of books that I have accumulated over the years, music theory, guitar soloing, bass guitar, fretless bass, free hands, a Greg Howard book, 7 string guitar, modes etc etc. I also have learning videos and DVDs on various instruments, but the fact is that I just don't work well with them. I don't think that a single one of them has progressed me with any instrument other than on a fairly trivial level. I wish that I could make it happen, but I inherently lack the basic discipline that is necessary, and at the grand old age of 44 I don't think that much is going to change now!
I like to support great artists buy buying their products, and I have to say Steve that you are, along with Greg, Bob, Emmett, a great inspiration to me as a stick player. I feel certain that I WILL buy your book, probably at a point when the Stick is once again the instrument that I am most into at that time, but historically, I am doubtfull that I will make the most of what it offers.

Twizz, even if you only get ONE "ahaa..." out of it (and you will) it's worth it. And this is the only instructional you'll get a (intentional) "ha-ha" out of. You seem to like to aquire things, put this in your bag of tricks. (And "browsing" it may renu your interest in your beloved Sticks)
