Post Descending fifths
A perfect tune for the Stick
Europa: Santana
ll: Fm7 l Bb7 l EbMaj7 l AbMaj7 l

(1...............)
l Dmin7b5 l G7 l Cmi7 l Cmi7 :ll
(2,...................)
l Dmi7b5 l G7 l CMaj7 l CMaj7 ll
(Picardi third)
The chords are all descending by fifths.
Easy melody, slow tempo
The tune Autumn Leaves has the same changes in Gmi

Thanks :D
And you were right about "Isn't she lovely", maybe not quite 10 mins to learn , but its happening quicker than most. Perfect for those instances where there are others like the sax player on stage.

:D Don't you dare call them fourths... EVER!!

(Just kidding - but it might not always be so cut and dried, eh? Cool thread.)

Also - my bad, I may have ruined this tune forever by using both ascending 4ths AND descending 5ths...

And call it whatever you want, but this pattern pops up all the time, highly useful in my opinion.. Learn it, love it...
