Cool expansion on this concept

A7 C7 Eb7 Gb7

Four different chords
Yet if you raise the root of each one a half step you get 4 identical chords as 7b9
Very useful for chord substitutions in a progression

For a very clear recorded example of a tritone substitution in action, "Sarah" from Stick Figures, bar 8 and 12 (first one about 23 second in...)

My friend John D'earth told me in the Latin bands in New York they had a saying...

"Mucho bass means mucho bucks..."

What I love about the left hand on The Stick is the dance between the bass and the rest of the chord...
