Just wondering what you're using for violin tape to go on the Stick fretboard? I can't seem to find anything suitable on amazon.co.uk?

This is the nearest thing I've found...

Any thoughts guys?

I bought several rolls here at etsy.com for my Rosewood (it does not work well on Railboards!):

Here's what the black keys looked like marked out on a 10-string Rosewood in Matched Reciprocal tuning. That doesn't help you see the frets on the Railboard, but they'd always be halfway between adjacent markers.

The link to the forum topic above has the pics to download if you'd like to use them. Probably not as helpful to you unless the black keys on a piano meant something to you. Cheers!

Brilliant - thanks for the response. I will check out etsy. I'm also Rosewood, in Bari/Mel. Taping off the sections of the neck is helpful to visualise what's going on.

I'd also like to find some simple note stickers as well...

I also bought clear note letter stickers from Ebay somewhere, normally used for piano. They worked very well, although I had stickers all over the fretboard! A year later or so, and I plan to remove all of it next time I do a string change. But it was very helpful at first!

If you have dot inlays but want to try linear, or if you want to see the relationship of a different tuning to the markers, violin tape is very helpful!

I like having my Stick taped up - I use red tape for the black keys.

Thanks for the interest everyone.

Unfortunately that Etsy store (LongBeachMusic) only ships to the USA.

But here are some ideas for the UK:

White 3mm pinstripe tape - one of the reviewers used this for a violin:

Various colours of 3mm pinstripe tape (orange, silver, gold and more):

I couldn't find a set of piano stickers I liked, but these seem ok for fretboard note names. For the Stick it would probably need a few packs and a pair of scissors:

Maybe SE might stock some of these things... I haven't looked actually, my bad.

Given the interest here, we could have some suggested "tape layouts" to help people navigating the Stick fretboard.

Hope this helps someone else.
