Got this talkingbass link a week or so ago. Seems like something that might apply to this topic.

Obviously some of the content is instrument-specific to the bass guitar, but the concept and exercise(s) are easily transferable to Stick, and one of the goals of this particular exercise is note familiarity.

lol Cool link; I practice pretty much everything in that manner, have for years. And backwards for 5ths of course... Or whatever way you want to look at it.

I think the more ways you tackle solving the "problem" of finding the notes, the faster it will all come together...

Great ideas in this thread, I'm going to get some stickers & violin tape for the fretboard.

Greg, can you share some tips about finding notes on the Baritone Melody tuning? That would be great...
