Thank, Kev! My family laughed at me for changing T-shirts between filming each instrument. "I want it to look like 2 different people!" My wife shrugged the way wives do.

I'm still working on vocals for this thing. I've got the chorus written and then parts where "Michael Anthony" does his high backing vocals (the unsung secret of Van Halen was their backing vocals), but the main verses are still working. I'm not a fast man with the vocals. I progress 30 minutes at a time, driving to work and singing my head off, and then driving home and singing.

Once I add vocals, I already have the lead vocalist T-shirt and the drummer's picked out. The Stevie Paigan Quartet will be rocking it out soon!

I know these posts are old. Just purchased a Stick Railboard. At 80 years old I'm having same issues with arthritic weak pinkies with inadequate vision when glancing down the stick. I also have a limited piano playing experience. Mid level. Never thought of horizontal before this thread.
This venue has been a jewel of information for a Dilettante wannabe. I'd be pleased to just learn some Erik Satie that I have played on a piano.

Excellent, Karl! I'm glad this thread gave you some ideas! Yes, this forum is chock full of good information and ways to customize your Sticking experience to your own tastes, backgrounds, physical characteristics and limitations. There's no "One Right Way" to play this (or any other instrument for that matter). But there are ways that will work better or worse for you individually.

I'm happy my own journeys and questions and explorations (and issues!) might help someone else. Best of luck with your Railboard! Cheers!
