I thought it was a joke but it's not. Just seen a meteo website...well...that's gonna be a shovel party...

Brett, Luc, & Steve and Tim Larsen and.... all the others East. Please be safe and warm.
Bread, Milk and Toilet paper in that order! We are getting some heavy snow here right now in Pittsburgh, but not what is expected on the NE Coast.

take care, and straight back and lift when you shovel! no kidding I just saw a very scientific break down of the fulcrum angles, lift issues, snow compaction increasing the mass- all which if done wrong could lead to low back problems and heart attacks! answer - hire the high school kid for $20!

Thanks Brett...I just saw the press conference from DeBlasio (NYC mayor) saying that this will be the biggest storm in NYC history. I'll not hold my breath for that one, but I live on the coast just south of Boston and the 65-75 MPH wind gusts is what concerns me. Got lots of food, wood and toilet paper and I changed the strings on the Stick today. I'm all set.

Steve is out west until next week, I believe.

Good luck guys. I'll be here, working in the rain of course.

My wife and I live in Jersey Shitty New Jersey. We'll be glad to see the city covered in a blanket of white,if only for a day or two. Everybody be safe.

Got my gas cans filled, got my power snow equipment ready, I shoveled off my roofs yesterday, and I'm ready.
Where I'm at, we're expecting about 2 feet, which isn't as much as the nearly 3 feet we got 2 years ago, but it'll still be plenty interesting.

A thing I learned some years back when spending lots of time in the northern parts of Sweden where it´s rather cold and lots of snow is to ALWAYS bring some food, water and a package of tealights in the car when going out of town during winter time. If the car breaks down, you get snowed in or other things that can happen then you can stay in the car and keep warm without starving to death for several days if necessary. One tealight on the dashboard will keep a good temperature in the car. So if needed to travel by car during heavy snow, consider to bring some sandwiches, water and some tealights.

Keep safe, lads!

Stay safe fellas. I'm gonna live it up with my proverbial shorts and my weird 40 deg Fahrenheit (5 deg C) January weather!
