Hi Darren,

It's a dual channel preamp, 2 ch EQ with parametric mids, and takes two input signals to two outs in different combinations. It's designed to be on the floor and can run on batteries.

It's not an effects unit or a balanced DI.

The SE website has the most comprehensive info on the unit (particularly re. routing options), so I'd go back and have another look:

Cheers,
Andy

no my question....is what does it really do...is it just a routing thing or does it do something about sound or balance the sound?

It accepts inputs 1 and 2, then lets you route them though A and B in whatever combination you want. It also gives you a good EQ control over each side of the Stick.
There is an additional tuner output in the back.
Runs on batteries or power supply.

I picked one up and plugged it in next to the driveway. The next day, my car was washed, waxed and detailed.

Whoa! This is alright!

Sound? Balance of sound? Dunno, but it sure does a hell of a job on my ride.

Hi Darren,

There's a lot of info in this thread about it:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=698

Basically, it gives the ability to provide good impedance matching and a versatile tone control for each side of the instrument independently, and then rout them to two separate outputs in any combination.

I haven't seen any other device that does all these things on one pedal, so, having played my Stick through a BassXX preamp, and really liking the sound, I thought I'd ask BassLab to build them.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
