Some of the techniques you use, when I was much younger, I used to apply to my old 4001s bass, man that made for some adventurous playing, although the rest of the band was not quite so sure, except the drummer, bless him ha ha !!

Very cool! (the music) The electric 12-string! Had a Firebird (!) 12-string in my posession for a few mos. in 1980. I tuned the unison strings different (because that's what I do - this was before the 8-string bass, and the Stick). 3:26! Outside! I would probably beat the hell out of it. My poor Squire Strat gets the "Joni" tunings workout for me. 5 springs in the back...

Thank you! I have not tried it with my band yet - they may not invite me back! The carbon fiber can take a lot of tapping and percussive play. I like the mandolin quality of the sound.

That was awesome! My Chimaera has a new buddy as a few weeks ago I bought the blue Synergy X-20 harp guitar that's been in a lot of Emerald's ads. Tapping on the 12 string neck I don't find very easy, but there's some cool percussive techniques I do on the six string neck of the Chimaera most would likely not do on a wooden instrument.

In some ways I find this a bit funny as finding a great Emerald Guitar vid on a Stick forum. Seems in guitar/Emerald sites people tend to just post pics of their Emeralds and no vids of them actually playing them. Please share this on some of them, that community needs more of this

Thanks! I had an X20 harp for a while - beautiful instrument and the bass notes are incredible. I never got the hang of the moving between the drone strings and regular strings. I have my eyes open for an X20. I have an X10 that is perfect for tapping. I saw your video on the acoustic guitar forum - great playing and sound.
