Now that's crazy. Looks like maybe they started with electrostatic diaphragm design (Martin Logan) as a benchmark and then took it to a whole new level. Amazing possibilities.

In the article, it mentions early trials using 2 sheets of baking paper (or tin foil), and thus the pictures.

I think the date is a coincidence, as the link is still active. I'm pretty sure that if it was an April Fools joke, they would have removed it from their site by now. I am, however, open to the possibility, but think it's unlikely.
