I thought I'd share this here. I am still working on my Stick stuff, and making headway - but just for fun, here's a quick and dirty guitar cover of an Yngwie J. Malmsteen tune called "Demon Driver". The solo is mine, and ummm I took a liberty or two with the arrangement (like I always do!)

Hey guys, thanks for checking it out - despite that it's not a Stick thing, and there is zero tapping in it ( I suppose I could have tapped somewhere in there, I just didn't) I really appreciate you taking the time to check out what I did. I played everything on this, same as I always do.

I picked up the 8 string, just an Ibanez RG8 that didn't cost too much so that I could get familiar with the extra two strings while I decide on a much better and probably quite a bit more expensive option. The tuning is the same as a regular axe EADGBE, but then there is a lower B string, and finally the lowest string which is an F#.

For the gear junkies, I ran this through a Boss GT-1000 which I suppose is like Boss's version of the Helix (sounds nothing like a Helix or an AxeFX haha but pretty good for Boss) Boss finally got it right in my opinion, the GT-1000 is a winner I think...
