I will never forget Canada Day 2003, as I was playing at the Montreal Jazz Festival in the Complexe Desjardins. My Montreal friends referred to it as 'moving day" as apparently everyone's lease terminates on July 1.

Happy Canada Day, my Canuckian friends! From the only state in the US where the Canadian border is south of us--other than Alaska, of course--Michigan. Windsor is just an hour to the southwest of me here. Congrats!

Indeed - I was born in Windsor. (grew up elsewhere) but then went back there for my undergrad!

It always messed me up living in Canada and knowing the States was north of me. I lived in Windsor. It’s a hot one here in Canada today. Definitely no snow to be seen and dealing with humidex reading 45 degrees it’s stinking hot and snow would be welcome. (Almost)
