Wow, few pieces of music have moved me like this one! It's amazing to me how much a good TONE can carry a song and I know that Petrucci is feeling the music with each note. Probably the most amazing "sweet spot" tone I've heard, bordering on breakup but staying sweet! Some of his volume swells are to die for as he goes into feedback. Simply amazing work! Ruddess does an amazing job of setting the canvas for John to soar! |

Me too, I am a big DT and DT side project fan (John Petrucci's solo album is crazy good too, although every Dream Theater album is basically a Petrucci solo album hahaha) Big influence on me musically, not sure if you can hear it in my playing really... Petrucci always sounds awesome! Anyways, thanks for sharing this, been a while since I listened to some LTE - I've been obsessing over Sons Of Apollo (Soooo goood if you are into the Prog Metal thing...) |
