Post Tappistry forum deleted by admin, and a possible alternative
In case anyone is wondering what suddenly happened to the Tappistry forum without warning:
I emailed the owner and was told that he decided to delete it due to him no longer being involved in the production of instruments and because the forum had been so quiet in the preceding months.
The owner offered to transfer it to me, but i cannot afford the costs.

I find it unfortunate that yet another community now has no forum outside Facebook, i have seen many communities disappear into the FB black hole as activity shifts to FB groups. All FB content is now blocked to those not signed up, so these communities are becoming non-public and part of the concerning FB content monopoly.

So ... although i very much appreciate this Teflon section at Stickist, it would be good to have a new place for a general tap guitar forum. However i can understand that it's unlikely that a new forum would be created, due to the low activity.

I'm suggesting that https://sevenstring.org/ could possibly create a new section for tap guitar.
I have been a member of this forum for 12 years and consider it the best guitar forum i know of, especially for extended range guitar and more unusual guitar-like instruments.

I opened a topic to suggest a new section here https://sevenstring.org/threads/1-or-2-new-subforums-for-touchguitars-and-extended-range-basses.336073/ and was told it might happen if there is enough content and interest.
Maybe i'll see some of you there if you join.
