Re: New beer discoveries...
I'm also an Oberon fan. My trumpet friend introduced me to it.

Re: New beer discoveries...
Way ahead of you Now freshly flowing from tappers all over northern Michigan. So little story ... this very same brew along with the very same label began its life as "Solsun Summer Ale". Just when its popularity was picking up steam (around 1998), the company was presented with a cease and desist order from a Mexican brewer who made a beer called "El Sol" which translates to "The Sun". The original rumors flying around back then were that it was Molson Canadian who threatened. Twas not though.

Re: New beer discoveries...
Just came across this little devil in New Britain, CT. Devil Dancer by Founders. A triple IPA with unbelievable complexity and hoppy as the day is long. It has an ABV of 12%, but it does not overwhelm the brew in any way. Masterful! $19 bucks for a 4-pack, but very worth it.

Re: New beer discoveries...
Not beer, but its underappreciated cousin, CIDER! If you're ever in the South Florida area, my Friend Matt makes the areas finest hand crafted ciders. From the traditional, DRY apple ciders, to more modern experimental flavors (coffee, mango, dragon fruit) he produces a wide variety of great products. Yes, this is a shameless plug for a friends business, but iy your in south Florida, you wont be disappointed. http://www.accomplicebrewery.com/https://www.facebook.com/AccompliceBrewery/?fref=ts

Re: New beer discoveries...
So many microbreweries in Maine, it's difficult to keep track! We're lucky around here.
