He told me at Interlochen he wanted to get one. If this if from Switzerland this would have been difficult to get. They vet people and dont seel to just anyone. Im glad Emmett doesnt do that. If anyone wants one I have a friend in Canada that makes them and they are less money

Pure magic, maybe even sexier than Stick. I have the feeling that Bob will be including a Handpan into his act, at least one song per set. To modulate to different key centers, you'd need about six of these (a lot to carry, a brigade of flying saucers) and a fast swivel stool. Bob could do it but he'd need a roady.

Sounds a bit like steel drums but more melodious, that is, the gong like inharmonic overtones are subdued - a mellow variation of the steel drum timber, a convex versus concave construction.

Gotta change keys though, not just chords within the key. OK, maybe just two more flying saucers. Not talking to you, Bob, that performance was perfect. Just thinking of my own harmonically restless soul.

I’ll give a friend of mine a call and post his contact info on here. The Canadian maker actually went to Switzerland and learned how to make them there I believe

Pretty cool, but not really my bag. Bob plays it so that it sounds great, though!
