Bernier back to drums
Just set up my drums again in the studio...super rusty since I spend all my time writing and playing on stick...but I recorded a quick improv bit....to experiment with the setup I'll use for stick videos, soon to come https://www.facebook.com/MichaelBernier ... 7903374712

Re: Bernier back to drums
I do all of my drums via VSTs in my DAW. Steven Slate, Groove Monkey and Loop Loft. http://www.stevenslatedrums.com/http://groovemonkee.com/http://www.thelooploft.com/Its pretty cool being able to play a drum sequence thru a keyboard, guitar or stick. For Bass, I use Spectrasonics Trilian. https://www.spectrasonics.net/products/trilian.phpFor editing vocals and instruments, I use Celemony Melodyne. http://www.celemony.com/en/melodyne/what-is-melodyne

Re: Bernier back to drums
Michael... fun!! 2 snares? I like it! I have my acoustic kit all packed up but I bought a small Roland v-drum portable kit to practice my chops. Also relearning my new set up on the zendrum (running BFD3 on a Macbook Pro). Admittedly for the past few months I am 95% stick, 5% drums lol. Lotsa rust for me to knock off too!

Re: Bernier back to drums
well Luc, it felt awkward. Like if I don't pick up the stick for a few weeks...I have to break through hesitation again...then it all comes back

Re: Bernier back to drums
We're all our own harshest critics. It didn't seem too awkward from where I'm sitting.
