...Unrecognizable Covers? FOOL ON THE HILL
I saw Kevin-C's post earlier today about covers vs originals and thought I might share some of my productions with everyone. A little light on the stick (aka none) but I thought you all might a kick out of these. All instruments/vox/parts, production, mastering, images done by me, Zack Be! This is the most recent one, I recorded a "lush cover" of a local band's song (we're friends) ... check it out!!! https://bezackbe.bandcamp.com/track/ton ... ning-light[here's their original: https://tomatododgers.bandcamp.com/trac ... ng-light-2 ] and here's one I did of the Beatles "Fool on a Hill," a song I DESPISE https://bezackbe.bandcamp.com/track/fools-hill

Friends, we need to listen to this.
Fool on the hill - brilliant. Destroyed in all the right ways, I really enjoyed your total reconstruction of this track.
Are you an XTC fan at all?

Re: ...Unrecognizable Covers? hear my productions!!
Holy smokes... I was all set to write a scathing reply - how on Earth can anyone dislike "Fool on the Hill" - let alone despise it?!? Then I listened to how you reworked it...and it's just f-ing outstanding. Shades of XTC for sure, with some Trent Reznor thrown in. I absolutely LOVE what you did with the chorus. Great job on "Tongue Still Stained", too. Not knowing the tune, I had no expectations, and so I'm taking it in its own terms - and it's damned good. As Gene said, brilliant...and we need to listen to this.
