"As If" -JazzFunkProg?
This is my first new piece in a few months and I am test driving a UAD Apollo Twin. I am very happy with the Neve 1173 plug in - especially on the bass coming out of the Railboard in active mode. I ran the bass side into a Softube bass amp in Propellerhead Reason.
Thanks for listening!

Nice "Yes"-ish keys here and there. The bass does sound great and the kind of line you've chosen to play with that sound. The initial lead playing is working well too. Talented.

Thanks for the kind words! I am never sure what direction a piece will go and is definitely a big influence.

Oh yes! That is great -- really drives. Love the funky bass. I love to see a video of this to learn how that Sticky bass-line is done. Wow.

Very good playing. Just curious what sounds are from The Stick besides the bass. MIDI melody or other instruments? Congrats

Re: "As If" -JazzFunkProg?
Thanks! All the melody lines with the exception of synth, organ, and a guitar riff that begins at about 2 minutes into the piece are Stick melody from the Railboard using the active mode into the UAD Apollo Twin. I have remixed and revamped the tune a few times since first posting (the latest version is still attached to the link). I changed the Stick melody solo in the middle to a distorted sound out of a Softube virtual amp.
I used a Dave Smith Mopho synth for several of the synth leads - there are few that are MIDI virtual synths from Propellerhead Reason.
The drums are from Superior Drummer's NY Avatar kit with some tweaking of the "Natural" kit all triggered in real time from a Zendrum controller.
