Japhlet. I love this!
The way you are meshing with the keyboard sound, and those high Classic tuning notes ringing out. Great music!

Re: Collage Lab - New Band in Mexico
Ha, that's aweosme, thank you Marty!
Really glad you enjoyed it. It's actually a fairly simple right hand line in F maj that repeats, with an "off beat" delay added, that creates a really nice interwoven theme. Happy to show some details via Google Hangouts or Skype someday if you'd like.
Best, and thanks again for all the feedback!

Re: Collage Lab - New Band in Mexico
Thanks so much Greg. A real honor coming from you.
Thank you for the years of inspiration, the lessons, seminars, and more than anything, the great music that really helped me start to explore the stick and find a "voice" of sorts of my own.

Re: Collage Lab - New Band in Mexico
This is good! Are you familiar with Omar Rodriguez Lopez? He did some more pop-oriented tunes with his then-girlfriend Ximena Sarinana, and this kind of reminds me of that: that meeting and melding of experimental/progressive music with Mexican-based pop.

Ximena Sarinana is a name I would have bet never would have shown up here on stickist.com. I need to go check out what Omar and her were doing.

Re: Collage Lab - New Band in Mexico
I was aware of Ximena Sariñana's existence, but not this group. Actually kinda cool! Thanks for the heads up!! And yeah, I never thought we'd be talking about Ximena here in this forum either! Or anywhere really!

Here's some samples of Omar's stuff with Ximena: Something more pop: Something more rock: Something awesome (Ximena's not really in this, but it's just one of my favorites ):
