This is wonderful! Your intonation is pretty spectacular if you don't mind me saying. Was this the fretless guitar you mentioned? Wow. I could listen to this stuff all day.

Hi jwanka...thanks for your comments. Yes, it's my fretless guitar. I can see that this guitar is appreciated and my main point was the harmony on the Stick... In this progression there is an important chord and it's on the C7 (LH) with a D triad (RH). This way I do play a C13#11 instead of what you could (or should) be a Cmaj7 (6) Inside a "normal" progression. The blues color of this chord appealed me so strong when I made a mistake and played it the first time. I looked at my mistake and worked on it... to create this "blues" flavor. The chords are starting on an Am but going to conclude on a Em (which is the real key of this progression). Well...thanks anyways...

Re: Jazz chords exercice
Cmajor plus Dmajor results in CEG D F# A=Cmaj6/9#11 135 9 #11 6 This actually a IV chord in the key of G. whenever you see a Major chord with a #11, It's always a IV chord of the key. Steve A

Re: Jazz chords exercice
Also if you use a DMaj in the left and a CMaj in the right it's a D7sus4? or not? a la "Maiden Voyage" (first Real Book tune I learned how to play on The Stick)

Steve A I play a C7 (dominant 7th) in my LH...that's why I just wrote a C13#11... that includes the 9th and the #11th...plus a 13th on top of the harmony. It's not a simple triad in the LH.
