Re: Video: Film Music for Architecture
Architecture is 'frozen' music . Hey Per, I really want to thank you for this, I have been doing a 'paying gig' at a yoga studio that requires 2-1/2 hrs of improvisation and I was playing some stuff just like this using a "Time Line". I was feeling a little indulgent but everyone seemed happy.... It is inspiring for me to hear your work and I think this is very powerful (and beautiful) music form that deserves more exploration. One false move though, when it's live, and the "clam" goes on forever . jRj

After hearing your last three contributions, it seems to me you'd be able to work with any clam that arrived. Oysters anyone? Yummy... Oh and this one's got a PEARL in it.

Beautiful. Love the morphing delays and the pauses you take to let them "happen"

Per, This is gorgeous! perfect match of music and art and computer rendering coming together. I actually really love this stuff, of course I still love my Sega Genesis for creativity and just plain fun. Bio Hazard has brain stems crawling up a building thank you for sharing this and showing how easily the Stick can produce landscapes and use in multi media presentations. Long time ago, a media attorney said the web is starving for content. I am not sure if this was one of your commissions, but you blended the "content" so well, and I agree with Greg the morphing was superb! JRJ - I hope it isn't "Hot Yoga" where they kick it up to 120 degrees- you might need to do several truss adjustments! thanks Per you are inspiration for all of us- not only your ever inspired playing, but where our music can end up! take care, Dave Brosky

No it's not "Bikram" but there are other problems like loud cieling fans and heater vents that go on an off all the time. Also the yoga teacher has a wee small voice . It's supposed to be 'ambient' but with all the other sounds (including sirens from the fire dept. next door) well let's just say it's a 'tonal challenge'... Quote: Greg Howard wrote:Love the morphing delays and the pauses you take to let them "happen" I think this is a key to making this music. I am sure it has been said before but with the multiple time signatures of the delays you need to "pause" and let the machines play as though it is another instrument or musician. It might seem obvious on the surface but I think that when you are actually making the music the tendency is to over play ... The subtext(s) of "ambient" are subtle, delicate and tasteful Thanks Per, your a Genius, just saying .. jRj

Absolutely stunning! Just the thing to help you wind down after one of "those" days.
