A temporary guitar backlash...
I love playing the Stick but for this piece I was called as a studio guitar player to provide "a loudly screaming feedback Stratocaster" and it was great fun! http://tungtobak.bandcamp.com/

Re: A temporary guitar backlash...
Background music for heroin use? Is there a lot of heroin being used where you live Per?

Re: A temporary guitar backlash...
This piece reflects Swedish "drug abuse culture" in the early seventies. I don't really know how popular heroin is here today. Kudos for production should go to my friend Stefan, I was only a called-in guitar player.

Re: A temporary guitar backlash...
As the "called in" guitar player, you did a superlative job of delivering just the right texture and atmosphere. Well done Per.

Nice playing, Per! I love the whole vibe of the thing....heavy and plodding, but kind of angst-y and tense at the same time. You really get some great sounds out of that stratocaster.

jwanka wrote: You really get some great sounds out of that stratocaster. Thanks! It's all vintage style; floating whammy bar of the original Fender model, low output single-coils, .010 set strings and the not to be forgotten Sustainiac Model C sustainer. That is the model with a mechanical vibrator to fasten with a clamper on the neck and that is driven by a take-out of the guitar's output. This mechanical sustainer almost feels the same to play as when relying on real loud air volume feedback from a cab in the room. Those other types of magnetic sustainer pickups doesn't give that raw loud-cab-in-room vibe as this Model C does. I mostly use it with fretless guitars, but it worked out fine here for this "Hendrix parroting project"
