Space Oddity
Here's a Bowie tune I've been working on, extremely low tech and simple........the standard mea culpas in advance for skronks and finger noise. I've been using a whiteboard lately to help structure tunes. I find it really helps to keep me focused and moving forward. I've posted the bass side chords in the gallery.
..........no jam space is complete without a lava lamp.
cheers, kev

Re: Space Oddity
Kev, Braaaaaaaa-vo! This was spectacular. You made the tune come alive, and you could hear Bowie singing on it and Mick Ronson doing the solo. Lotta twists and turns, accidentals and occidentals, but you got them all.
I especially loved the double stop harmonies to highlight certain passages. brilliant!
It is nice to see you keep challenging yourself, and coming through with flying colours! IMHO the shirt says it all.
great great job, Dave Brosky
ps. Populus -watch the vid again but just look at the lava lamp- it's groovy and seems to go with the music.

Re: Space Oddity
It's kind of cool the way you guys can just show up and play right in my living room. That tune has a nice vibe the way you play it.

Re: Space Oddity
great tune, one of my favs. great job, bass side sounds like an "Emmett" sound. it's spacey. quite the Oddity. good stuff man. sounds like it was written on Stick. that's when u "know" it's a good cover. "Did you write that for David?"... edit: oh, i like the whiteboard idea. gettin one tomorrow!

Re: Space Oddity
Enjoyed this one Kev. Nice job with the effects, just enough to complement the feeling of the peice without overdoing it. Great job Mate!
Cheers Eric.

Re: Space Oddity
I really wish I could listen to it all the way through, but I got an upgrade on my internet speed and now my audio is all messed up. Argh!
