Post Vivaldi's "Winter" Theme (Four Seasons) Greg on Stick Guitar
Hi everyone,

Here's a simple arrangement of the theme from Vivaldi's "Winter" movement of the "Four Seasons" on the Stick Guitar. Enjoy.

Perfect for the Stick Guitar! It must have taken some work arrange this for the SG, but it was so worth it. I really enjoyed this. The articulations and ornaments came across so clearly and cleanly on the SG. Excellent as always.

Really beautifully done, thanks for sharing. Is your SG12 setup with the classic SG12 tuning?

Love it. Wonderfully done, as usual. I think the Stick shines especially bright with classical music expertly executed.

+1 to that. Can't think of an electric amplified instrument that sounds more natural than the Stick

Greg said it was a simple arrangement and so it is, with LH chordal arpeggiations taken right out of "Free Hands", lesson 2, page 8. That's serving the music and so I found myself noticing other things:

- The sweet sound of those high notes on the SG-12. Why is it that a shorter guitar scale neck produces thicker, "creamier" highs when everything going on behind the tapped string (toward the headstock) shouldn't matter? (Well, the nut height settings matter.)

- The pauses, retards and generally the "liberties" that he takes with the rhythm, classical style. Greg shows a special feel for such subtleties (or were they written in the score?). Either way, Greg honors the composer . It turns out that my early chapter about three-note bass-with-chord accompaniment suits this genre very well.

Many thanks again Greg, for displaying another facet of your musicianship (as well as of my instrument design).
