Post "Tear Jay" video by AZUL
Hi everyone,

Here's the second video from the AZUL recording session, "Tear Jay"

I had a litle weirdness with the autofocus on the camera that was on me, so I apologize for the periodic blurring. It seems like it may have been triggered by a drum sound or a particular large fly....

Enjoy!

PS: Amazon has the CD: http://www.amazon.com/Azul-Dearth-Brian ... 936&sr=1-1

... love the playing by all 3, no one overpowers, you can feel/hear it is all in service of the music.

The video adds a whole new dimension to the piece, especially how some of the percussion sounds were made. Thanks for posting.

At the very beginning, maybe 6 seconds into it, the drummer starts scraping the end of his stick on a cymbol. Watch Greg's face very carefully! He seems a bit surprised by the sound.

Once again, very nice Greg. Musicianship, production, and video presentation. All first rate.

Mike

Very nice!
The autofoccus doesn't matter, it only adds to the athmosphere of the piece. :-)

A gorgeous track. Very evocative and melancholy; you probably shouldn't listen to it while drinking to excess on a cold, rainy, autumn day.
Or perhaps you SHOULD do exactly that.

IMHO,exceptional music excites and inspires musicians to become better. This does all that and a bag of your favorite chips. This is wonderful music. I'd also love to hear what material you decided not to use for the CD.With players of this caliber, that process must be extremely difficult. Then again maybe I'm wrong.
