Post Re: Norwegian Wood
These comments are making me so happy, I had to snap an early morning pic of my absolute joy in reading them.

Mike you have very accurately assessed in an indirect way, that I have changed my strings (after talking a big game about changing them every 4 months, I waited 9!).

KC, I do have a big announcement coming up. I don't think I am going to wait until year one of Song of the week though, it's going to be special though, at least I think so.

Cheers to you Luc, Kataway, Tom, Grayo, FuzzyJ,

If only I could sing and play the way you do Olivier! Thanks brother.

Dave - another magnificent Dbro review! I always appreciate you taking the time to review and highlight all the Stickist videos. Not writing out the word G-d is just a habit :D

I had been kicking this arrangement around for a bit and just had to get it to tape, it's a great study and I would recommend it to all. It follows a simple I - IV - I IV VII pattern. The chorus switches to a minor tonic and the pattern moving to the IV is altered slightly, which then resolves on V.

You know, given that intro, you could SO easily make this into a medley with Billy Joel's "Always a Woman."

Great arrangement and brilliant playing. One of my favorite Beatles numbers.

Many thanks for posting this.

I agree with Grayo about the outro. The intro confused me a bit. All in all, another great one from a great one.

This whole "song a week" project is such an inspiration, Gene. Thanks again for another great tune.

Not sure why, but for some reason this one strikes me as one I will bookmark among my stash of "What's a Chapman Stick?" example videos.

Thanks Jeff, Carbon and Stickrad and thank YOU Gusset - that is just about the nicest thing you could say. I really appreciate it.

I too have been very inspired by the songs I see here on the Stickist - Stickrad, Kevin, PunkJackal, Greg and more that I am certain I am missing. I can't remember the name of the cat that does the bitchen prog / metal on the NS - very different from ballad-medium-tempo stuff I like, but his stuff is totally unique and refreshing.

It's important to be positive about your learning path, to make positive associations and sharing a good word never falls on deaf ears - so thank you very much. :D
