Good stuff, Josh...thanks. I have enjoyed both of your Stick Science installments so far, and I'm looking forward to as many more as you care to produce.

One of the things that got my attention, and has drawn me to consider purchasing a Stick, has been watching concert and studio vids of the Stick in a band context in the bass role (mainly Beggs playing with Iona, and more recently Levin). It looks pretty darn fun the way a skilled player makes both hands dance around on the bass side. Obviously there's a lot of learning and years of experience guys like you have put in to get there, but let me express my appreciation for your putting a bit of explanation out there for me to see.

Cheers,

-Victor

Thanks for watching, guys!

Victor,
Yeah those guys are great. I actually came from guitar first and I find it interesting to look back and see how much I've fallen in love with the bass due to this instrument.

Nicely put together Josh. Thanks for the lesson. Very informative.
One correction to consider,--the vertical and horizontal visual references should be reversed.
Keep up the info offerings and enthusiastic explorations.
See ya' soon.

Steve,
Glad you liked it. That's good advice on the visual aid for playing scales. When I recorded it I was oriented based on the strings, not the fretboard itself.
