Great sound and beautiful piece, Per. You really seem to be finding yourself a "signature" sound with the Stick; your use of effects being a main component in your soundscape style. Very, very nice!

Nice, Per!

I love the atmospheric quality of the melody side. I really haven't dug into Mainstage 2 enough to really experiment with all of the processing possibilities. This should change!

Take care,

Paul

it is amazing how many different sounds and feelings can be produced by The Stick. As I listen to other players and learn myself you can see signature sounds and patterns from everyone. The Stick is a reflection of the person playing it. It becomes a unique expression of the player. I know that this is true for every instrument, but it seems that The Stick provides a much wider ranger for individual expression and experimentation. You are inspiring. The soundscape you create is fantastic.

Thank you-

You're so right, Hammond! That must come from the fact that the Stick doesn't have "a history". I'm just comparing to guitar playing where your creativity always is bogged down by the risk of sounding like as "if trying to sound like someone else". I mean, play a bluesy note on a Stratocaster's neck pickup and it becomes almost impossible not sounding like Jimi Hendrix. Just one example among many :-)

Hi Per,

Nice to see you discovering more and more possibilities. I remember in the late 1980's being that excited about the possibilities MIDI offered for layering, splitting and manipulating sounds.

There was a point where I had to stop and take a step back and really learn to play, and then I fell in love with the sonic possibilities of multi-effects all over again.

The Stick is, at it's core, an input device, a high-speed conduit for your creative mind. I look forward to hearing all the places you take it.

Well, here's another one that I recorded today, a slow piece with the coldest vibe and the deepest bass. The sound of this instrument just amazes me. Here plugged directly line-in, the direct PASV-4 sound.

Hey Per.

I can really hear your improvement as a player in the short time I've been around. I'd like to throw some of my own stuff on here but I'm not quite "there" yet.
Anyway, good stuff man and keep it coming.

cheers,
kev
