If he's not, he should be. That's Fergus Marsh, an early adapter of the Stick. He played with Bruce Cockburn from 1985 to 1989 as a full-time Stickist on 4 albums by Cockburn (Stealing Fire, World of Wonders, Big Circumstance and Live 1989) and 2 albums by Mark Heard (Dry Bones Dance and Satellite Sky). He didn't just play it in one or two songs, and he wasn't buried in the background of a huge production. He played it the entire set as bassist/rhythm guitarist/keyboardist with MIDI pickup. I'm not sure if there's any other player who so fully realized the multi-instrumental position the Stick could hold in a band for 4 years in worldwide tours. It wasn't just a novelty sound used for the occasional song. In his hands, the Stick was a fully implemented instrument in the band, filling several roles in different sized groups. He was the first person I ever saw play a Stick. Well worth checking out.
