Post Menuet in G major BWV Anh 116 on Alto Stick
After Gene Perry's Stick Talk last summer (https://stickist.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=14935) I had to try some classical stuff with my Alto:

Yes, Michael!

You played that so well, it's like revisiting a song where we all had a family holiday picnic together with Gene as the big uncle!

Sounds great on the alto and you sound really comfortable on that instrument.

Thanks for the inspiration. (I'm going to have to join the stickists who can play that, after Gene giving me so much air time with the vid commentary. ...So now you're both kicking my arse......loti.

Thank you, maestro!!!

And thank you all too for the compliments, Mike, Victor, Konrad!

@ Alto: I use a slightly lower tuning (a kind of "tenor" tuning), namely the inner 10 strings of SG12 Matched Reciprocal. This works very well for the middle piano range. Gene's version was a whole octave lower I think.

Well done! Wonder how you can play this small board without striking unwanted strings.

Merci beaucoup, Bruno!

The Alto is exacly as small/wide as the 10-String! The only thing that changes is the scale length.
The stringspace is exactly the same as the 10-string Stick. You can find it online on http://stick.com/instruments/alto/:
"String spacing .320" (8.13mm), Group spacing .430" (10.92mm)".

The Grand and the SG12 have smaller stringspaces.

As a former guitar player I feel more comfortable with the Alto. 36" is too long for me, a "Medium" or "Tenor" Stick would be exactly the right thing! Scale length about 30 - 31", 12 strings like the SG12, some extra frets for the highest notes ... About two weeks ago I wrote an e-mail to Emmett Chapman asking if it would be possible to order such an instrument. I'm looking forward to the answer ...

I am finally getting to comment here on Stickist Michael! Brilliant my man!. I am so glad to see that you nailed this one as you had pointed out at least 2 bits I was not playing properly. Thanks to you and good on ya!

Which one should we do next?!
