Tomás Merlo Group new videos (updated)
Yesterday we had our first concert after the lockdown with the Group and it was awesome to play in front of an audience after such a long time. We played in a great venue in Asturias, we had a sold out with a very warm audience. Here´s two clips of yesterday´s performance, enjoy!

Great stuff Tomas. The Holdsworth influence shines through. You are a very good Stick player and musician. Congrats on performing again. Keep moving forward Steve Adelson

This is so fantastic! Exactly this music has been in my head for a long time, and for this reason I play the stick (even if I will need some more lives to be able to play the same way...) But I do not give up!

Thanks Michael! Don’t give up, it’s just a matter of practicing the right stuff. Cheers

Tomás, it is not only practicing! Practicing is a thing that everyone can do. One will do it in a very mathematical way (I saw many of them), and one in a more emotional way (I do not know if "emotional" is the right word in this context). It is a matter of soul and of feeling. If you hear the music of our "gods" like Hendix, Pastorius, Charlie Parker, Monk, and many many others, there is a good part of technique, BUT (!) there is soul, there is feeling, there is much more than practice ... they are crossing their borders! They are flying! And YOU are flying that way!
And that is also my goal (At least in theory. Even if many years ago I took the wrong path that music should remain "just my hobby" and I decided to learn a "real" profession) I think I chose the wrong path back then ...
